Ramadan Season Chic

The holy month of Ramadan is upon us and we’re all settling into shorter work hours and the joy of being able to spend time with family.

Ramadan also brings with it, countless Iftar invites and the task of finding the right clothing to wear. With summer slowly creeping in, this can be a challenge! Have no fear, Woman This Month is here!

Here are a few ideas for when you can’t find anything to wear:

1. Take it to the Max(i)!

A fun, chic way to keep in tradition with Ramadan fashion is to don a beautiful maxi dress! The beauty of a maxi dress is that not only is it long and appropriate but the multiple styles and designs mean that you can ‘weather the heat’. And if you’re indoors and the air conditioner is ‘cooler than ice cool’, it’ll keep you warm!

2. When in doubt, kaftan it out!

Who doesn’t love a kaftan? It’s our go-to fashion wear for when we can’t make up our minds! Layer a beautiful dress or pant-top combo with a beautiful Kaftan that will add color, panache and style to any outfit!

3. Choose the light!

We all know that light colored clothing helps keep you cooler in warm sunny, Bahrain. Keep it fresh and breezy with a lightly colored ensemble that will not only make you stand out but also keep you cool!

4. Accessorize! Accessorize! Accessorize!

If you feel like all hope is lost, bring life to an old outfit with accessories! Adorn yourself with some bling and you’ll be aye-okay! A beautiful watch, or a really nice necklace can elevate an outfit while still remaining elegant.

5. Flaunt what you got!

We’re talking about hair! This season, we’re all about the braids, keep it simple yet amazing! Use little accessories and even glitter to transform your boring ponytail into a hairstyle everyone will want to get because they saw it on you! We love, love, love this braid-alicious hairstyle from the girls at Beautique! How amazing does it look?

And don’t forget some gorgeous Ramadan-inspired nails!
