The Interiors Expo, held under the patronage of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister of Bahrain, is scheduled to take place from April 24-26 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
The event not only showcases new trends in décor and furniture from international and regional designers but also aims to be a festival for creativity, the theme set by its strategic sponsors Bakokko Group and Hempel Paints.
Hempel Paints will be setting the mood with its inspirational new coatings range, and debutant Bakokko will set imaginations alight with its ornate Italian classic furnishings supplemented by the design ability of husband and wife owners, architect Waleed Aboujaoude and interior designer Theresa Aboujaoude.
The festival of creativity will be enhanced by a curated gallery by Bahrain Arts Society, which will feature art, sculpture and installations from the country’s leading artists including Abbas Almosawi.
“We have, over the years, looked to position Interiors as the home for the creative talents of the Kingdom and the GCC,” says HCE managing director Jubran Abdulrahman. “This year, we have broken new ground with the support of our sponsors and Bahrain Arts Society. The paintings classes that the Arts Society will conduct will look to nurture and encourage future talent.”
Interiors Expo will also provide bargains and deals only found at the exhibition. The introduction of the Interiors Shopper section will provide an innovative sale outlet in décor, furnishings and design for sale at discounted prices.
“Interiors Shopper is an outlet where luxury interior products are sold as special offers, limited to visitors who visit the expo,” adds Mr Abdulrahman.
The event will also be enhanced with an outdoor festival of live music and food stalls.
Interiors Expo takes place in conjunction with two other major events, Gulf Construction Expo and Gulf Property Show, providing the biggest integrated business-to-business showcase for the construction, interiors and property sectors ever to be staged in the Northern Gulf.
