Fernanda LanghammerNovember is here telling us that 2015 is almost ending, so if you have any pending New Year’s resolutions, now is the moment to clear them out. Take a look at the plans you had for the new year (that is getting pretty old by now) and see what you’ve done, what is still pending and what went in a completely unexpected direction (I can include myself in this last one).

Our issue this month is, just like every month, packed with information on interesting subjects to cater to the modern woman resident of Bahrain. Our fashion pages bring the best trends to be incorporated in your autumn and winter wardrobe. The season hasn’t properly arrived on the island yet, but the fashion express is not going to wait, so have a look at our pages for inspiration on your next shopping trip. If you want to try a new way of dressing, check out the ‘Get the look’ pages for ways to embrace Bohemian style.

We are very proud of the interesting interviews we bring to you in every issue. This month, I spoke to Sameera Al Bitar, a Bahraini swimmer who participated in two Olympic Games representing her country and is now starting a whole new career in triathlon. The talented artist Areej Rajab visited us for a delightful chat about art and how to work and rise three kids. Our editorial director Liz O’Reilly found a group of amazing women called the ‘Glam Squad’, commanded by Lauren Kravchenko, that helps cancer patients to lift their self-esteem.

Our Homes section was specially created showing the influence of one of this season’s fashion trends, ‘the new Victorian’ on your home décor. Vintage pieces and inspirational grand elements are the designs to look for. We’ve also taken a look at some of the best homes destinations on the island, if you’re looking to update your living space and there’s a page dedicated to beautiful and practical home appliances.

Ankita Mamgain unveils mystic places to visit in our travel section. Funny enough they are all located in South or Central America, do you believe in coincidences?

Dr Jinan Harith Darwish talks about the importance of taking your child for a health consultation not only when he/she is sick. Regular check-ups can tell a lot about your kid’s general health.

Have great reading!
