‘Less is More’ was very definitely the case on this season’s runways. From lingerie-inspired tops to short shorts, designers have never been more determined to get us flashing the flesh. So, it’s no surprise that transparent sheers were all over the place from barely there, in many guises, at Loewe to gorgeously demure over-garments at Ritu Kumar and lacy knits at Kade Spade.
Wear the trend with confidence with the addition of a nude-coloured body suit, as seen at Loewe, or go for a piece with strategically placed decoration, such as the fabulous feather-adorned dress from Giambattista Valli.
Most of the pieces that have, so far, found their way onto mainstream sites such as matchesfashion.com and modaoperandi.com are in black, so if you spot something like Valentino’s tobacco-hued overshirt, snap it up.
Top Tip
Add some colour by swapping the nude body suit for something in bright red or another eye-catching shade.
