Bahrain Kennel Club

The Bahrain Kennel Club (BKC), was established in 1974 by Sheikha Danah Al Khalifa. It is a non-profit making organisation in the Kingdom of Bahrain established with the hope of representing the Kingdom’s canine community.
The BKC became an associated member of Federation Cynologique Internationale (FCI) in 1975 and later became a full member in 2017.
“[Our] aim/goal is to educate the public about responsible dog ownership, provide education and exciting events, where everyone can get together and learn about dogs, their health and welfare. You will also learn the importance of why dogs should be registered, and more importantly to learn how to show dogs as a sport,” explained BKC on their website.
Bahrain Animal Rescue Centre
Open Friday and Saturday between 4pm and 6pm
The Bahrain Animal Rescue Centre is a no-kill shelter that often hosts events at Wagalag. They also accept donations to look after the animals in their care and you don’t even need to be a dog owner in Bahrain to help.
