Women have the power to achieve just about anything they put their mind to. They’ll take every challenge in stride while getting the best of results. This month we had the pleasure of meeting with the founder of My Gold Souq, Amy Vaya, who is a multi-talented individual being a comedian and writer too! She’s pretty hilarious, motivated and hard-working – truly an inspirational woman.
What’s your proudest achievement?
It was the time I was invited to speak to the graduating class at my school, 15 years after I had graduated. It was such an honour to be there and I sincerely hope I was able to inspire the students to face the journey ahead with optimism and confidence.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?
The future will come to you as the present, so make sure you’re enjoying the present every day.
What skill would you like to learn?
I would like to get really good at a martial art.
What’s a mantra you live by?
Every day, in every way, I’m getting better and better.
Do you have a hidden talent?
I am totally convinced I can talk to cats!
What’s your favourite film?
Fight Club made quite an impression on me because it made me consider how much energy we waste on trying to impress others.
What is your dream holiday destination?
Iceland. It has such an end of the world feeling, and I want to see the Northern Lights.
What would your life be incomplete without?
My loved ones.
What are you looking forward to the most?
I’m looking forward to the stage where my business is firmly established and growing.
