Chef Faisal’s decadent recipe for Mushroom Soup is sure to be a favourite at your dinner table!

We’ve had a wonderful Ramadan so far and look forward to the festivities surrounding Eid, too! After feasting on Chef Faisal Al Deleigan’s delicious recipes last month, we were treated to another crowd favourite – Mushroom Soup. This decadent recipe is sure to be a welcome addition to your family’s dinner table, whether it’s Ramadan, Eid, summer vacation or even just a Tuesday evening with family. Whatever the occasion, we’re sure you’ll love it

MUSHROOM SOUP
Total Cooking Time: 20 minutes – Servings: 1

INGREDIENTS

    • Fresh mushrooms(sliced) 30 gms
    • White onion 15 gms
    • Butter 20 gms
    • Sea salt ¼ tsp
    • White pepper powder ¼ tsp
    • Black pepper powder ¼ tsp
    • Sweet paprika powder 1/8 tsp
    • Cooking cream 80 ml
    • Water 250 ml

Garnish

  • Dill leaves 1 sprig
  • Cream foam 1 tbsp
  • Sumac 1 pinch

Method
In a saucepan, add butter, mushrooms and onion then sauté. Add all the spices including salt. Mix it well, then add water and cook for 5 minutes. Add cream and cook for around three minutes. Remove from the heat.
Blend for one minute until smooth. While serving, garnish with dill leaves, cream foam and sumac.
