Elevate your look with a stunning pop of colour.

Vibrant hues have a way of upgrading your usual monochromatic look. High-end designers this year emboldened their FW21 collections with stunning colours presented with the creativity of true fashion. They played with fabrics, shades, textures, cuts and more with statement shoes, bags, tailored vests and frills adorning every look.

Emporio Armani was in the mood for pop – adding a dash of ‘80s brights to their eclectic looks. The silky sheen of velvet was paired with dashes of bright colours and unexpected accessories. Their blazers are soft, illuminated by boule buttons; cropped jackets with drawstrings are reminiscent of the attitude of athletic wear. On the other hand, Giorgio Armani’s style flows in a perpetual evolution enhancing femininity and personality. The runway was flowing with dabs of watery hues, greens with turquoise shimmers, pale purples and soft pinks, accents of ruffles running down the collar of shirts, the silhouette of small boxy coats, the cuffs of sweaters. The collection is luminious and forms a dialogue between night and day.

Versace took on the trend in looks that were as chic as they were surprising. The brand’s iconic Greca motif is reinvented for Fall-Winter 2021 as a dynamic and immersive 3D maze that feels like you can step right into it. The new Versace La Greca code features the Greek Key along with the Versace logo in various sizes and colour combinations. The geometric pattern has sharp angles, clean lines and a strong palette that represents power and self-confidence. In womenswear the silhouettes are reduced in volume with rounded shoulders, cinched waists and A-line skirts. Versace adds sharp detail through embellishment and contrasting shades – bright golds, shocking pink and bold red paired with black.

To weave bright colours into your OOTD, you could pair your outfit with a bold and vibrant accessory such as Meera Toukan’s plexiglass clutch. Alternatively, you could step into this trend with the likes of Versace’s bold platform boots in yellow or pink.

EDITOR’S PICK!
The stunning suede boots and handbags from the brand BY FAR are contemporary and modern with a nostalgic appeal. The colours are eye-catching and would make the perfect addition to your look. Think an all-black suit paired with the Taxi yellow boots or pristine white coupled with lime green – vice versa, too, it would work wonders!

Givenchy presents a collection of contrasts, both strident and subtle. The collection focuses on the traditional areas of tailoring, knitwear and leather. Working with a precise, monochromatic palette in looks, the classicism of black, white and silver grey is contrasted with vivid red and pink, becoming almost provocative in their connotations.
