This month we delve into the beautiful world of Jenny Qaed, a Bahraini model and Marketing Coordinator at Khalid Almoayed and Sons.

What is your dream holiday destination?
One that I can spend with my family in Holland, by the farms and gardens, so we can all enjoy their famous flowers like their beautiful tulips.

What is the first thing you’ll do once the world beats the coronavirus?
Life has been very difficult for everybody on this planet. We have all postponed our dreams, accomplishments – our normal life basically. I would be beyond happy to go back to my old life when I could plan my day without any strings attached like the ones keeping us on hold for now. I would be very happy to see my family that I haven’t seen in seven months now and live my life without fear.

If you could give your 16-year-old self one piece of advice, what would it be?
Stop eating junk food or oily food. Don’t watch the movie ‘IT’ by Stephen King.

What is your favourite movie of all time?
Since I was a young girl, I have been the biggest fan of Tom Hanks and have seen all his movies. I would say my favourites are Captain Philips and Cast Away, which really touch my heart every single time. I also can’t forget Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) which was based on Freddie Mercury’s life.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
My father always encouraged me to be independent, get whatever I want on my own by working hard for it as, in the end, my dreams are achievable by myself.
I still remember the day I was crying about something and my dad told me, “You can’t have everything you want. Sometimes the ship sails in the other direction.”

Who is your greatest inspiration in life?
My greatest inspiration in life is my dad, my king. He’s the only person who loves unconditionally expecting nothing in return. He has been my biggest support and my teacher in life and has always directed me to the right path leading me to be in a place that I am proud of myself for how strong and independent I am.

Name three things you can always find on your nightstand.
My Doll, a lamp and a book to read.

What would your life be incomplete without?
My family. I can’t live without my father, sister and her daughter – my small family. My career too as I consider myself lucky to work where I work right now, and last but not least, my friends who been always been there for me on my good and bad days, helping me get through a lot of difficulties in life.

Cats or dogs?
Of course, dogs. I have been raising dogs all of my life – mostly German Shepherds.
