Having been passionate about media since she was a student, Harpreet Kaur has spent the last eight years meticulously developing her skills in all things media. After growing to be a journalist, and digital media and marketing specialist, Harpreet is now Head of Cluster Marketing at Ramee Group of Hotels. When she’s not dabbling in media, she’s basking in her love for nature, people and the rush of enjoying new experiences. We take a peek into her life this month.

Are there any hobbies you enjoy?
I love lists! I make lists for just about everything. Apart from that, I am obsessed with cleaning. If I have to unwind, I either clean or do activities involving nature. I also enjoy watching the news, socialising and helping people.

What is your proudest achievement?
I am most proud of the woman I am becoming. I don’t want to define the achievement by one specific moment, but rather the journey. It’s definitely due to all the strong and beautiful women around me who have supported and inspired me – especially my mum!

What’s one song or movie that never fails to inspire you?
These are songs that have never failed to inspire me:
– You are Made of Wonder – Emily Sande ft. Naughty Boy
– Blowin’ in the Wind – Bob Dylan
– Everybody’s Free to Wear Sunscreen – Baz Luhrmann

If you could be granted three wishes, what would they be?
– To travel all across the world
– For the pandemic to end and,
– This one is harder to attain, but I wish I had a magic wand to fix climate change and the environment.

What is your dream holiday destination?
Spain

Cats or dogs?
This is like asking my parents who their favorite child is! I want both and a whole lot of them.

The best piece of advice you have ever received was:
My journalism professor always used to say “It’s all in the head”.
In Journalism School we spent hours working in remote areas of India in extreme climate conditions. So, our professor used to tell us that no matter how insecure, tired, sad or angry we were, if we could manage to convince our mind otherwise, we would be able to do anything. So, your comfort zone and your biggest fears are all just in the head.

Do you have a hidden talent?
I am extremely good at organising, cleaning, and give great head massages.
