Flower Power

This is one look that never really goes away but this season designers have gone all out with florals in all manner of shades, shapes and styles hitting the runways and, very swiftly, making their way onto the high street.

If you don’t want to go particularly girly-girly, take a leaf out of Gucci’s style book and pair a flamboyant top with sombre blacks – swapping out the black for white linen pants or shorts would update this look for summer.

Elsewhere, Chloe flashed a pop of neon; there was applique aplenty at both Ingie and Givenchy; and both Osman and Kate Spade New York went bloomin’ bonkers, the former with gorgeously clashing patterns (so wrong, yet, so right) and the latter sending models down an outdoor runway in head-to-toe florals with bags and even live plants adding to the mood.

Start adding florals to your wardrobe now and they’ll take you right through spring to late summer.
