British School of BahrainThe British School of Bahrain (BSB) hosted numerous activities within the school in a bid to raise awareness and donations towards Think Pink. In a unique initiative, the school’s Chemistry teacher, Luke Bradley made a powerful statement of solidarity with people living with cancer by shaving his head in exchange for an undisclosed amount of charitable money that was raised by students in support of the noble cause.

BSB students accepted the challenge offered by their teacher and raised more than the agreed amount, which will be officially revealed by the school authorities. The head shave was just one amongst various of the school’s initiatives aimed at creating awareness around breast cancer. The school’s PCC (Parent Community Committee) organised a Think Pink Bake Sale, which had a high turnout raising more funds for the cause. All BSB team members including teachers, students and parents participated in the varied activities which included dressing up in pink, learning about breast cancer and singing for charity.
