Hospitality With Heart

Areen Hospitality’s Nahed Guiga tells Woman This Month about elevating guest experiences, embracing local culture and driving Bahrain’s hospitality future.

As Director of Sales, Ms. Guiga brings a sharp focus on design-led luxury and culturally immersive experiences to Bahrain’s competitive hospitality sector.

“Our vision is to position the group as a benchmark for design-led, culturally attuned luxury hospitality,” she says. “We aspire to be known not just for exceptional service and refined elegance, but as hotels that offer truly unique, world-class facilities.”

With a portfolio that spans boutique business hotels like Charthouse and Pearlhouse in Bahrain Harbour, and the popular Lost Paradise of Dilmun Water Park, Areen Hospitality balances diverse offerings under a unified strategy. “Each property has its own identity,” she explains. “We take a tailored approach to sales while remaining aligned with our overarching goal, which is to lead the market in every segment we operate in.”

Business travellers are drawn to Charthouse and Pearlhouse’s strategic location and refined ambience, while Lost Paradise continues to attract local families, school groups and GCC tourists. “LPOD is a true destination, engaging guests of all ages,” says Ms. Guiga. “We regularly refresh the entertainment calendar and introduce seasonal events to maintain footfall throughout the year.”

She also notes a clear shift in traveller expectations: “Guests now want tailored experiences, digital convenience and flexibility.” This change has prompted the group to enhance its online presence, roll out curated packages and target both leisure and corporate markets with personalised offers.

Digital transformation has also become central to operations. “From seamless bookings to data-driven campaigns, technology enables us to better understand and serve our guests,” she says.

Equally important to the group’s philosophy is a strong connection with the local community. “We build ties with culturally relevant experiences, collaborate with local businesses, and tailor our promotions to national events and resident needs,” says Ms. Guiga. “We also thank Bahrain Tourism for their continued support in helping us grow our presence.”

On attracting regional visitors, she highlights that GCC tourists value comfort and location: “We cater to them with spacious suites, central addresses and top-tier amenities that suit both business and leisure stays.”

As a woman in leadership, Ms. Guiga reflects positively on the industry’s evolution: “It’s empowering to see more women shaping the future of hospitality. Diversity is valued more than ever at Areen Hospitality, and we actively support female professional growth.”

Looking ahead, guests can expect new offerings and enhanced service. “We’re dedicated to continuous improvement and innovation,” she says. “Stay tuned for exciting developments as we redefine hospitality in Bahrain.

“We thank our guests, partners and community for their support. Our passion is to lead with integrity, excellence and vision.”
