A Rising Star

Rising star Nadia Iqbal is making waves in the music industry with her powerful voice, modern style and upcoming collaborations, inspiring aspiring artists and shaping Bahrain’s vibrant sound scene.

Ms. Iqbal is a talented and dynamic artist whose journey started with a significant collaboration with NUH Production, a move that helped launch her career. It was here that her exceptional vocal talent was spotted by the renowned director Asif Masood, whose impressive portfolio includes collaborations with celebrated artists such as Ali Zafar, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Atif Aslam. Reflecting on her breakthrough, Nadia says: “I want to encourage minority talented females around the world. If I can do it, anyone else can do it!”

When it comes to her performances, Nadia embraces modern themes that resonate with today’s younger generation. “My music is a fusion of contemporary styles, and I love to use my platform to convey messages of empowerment and positivity,” she explains. “My upcoming album, a collaboration with Bollywood sensation Yo Yo Honey Singh, amplifies modern themes that suit the younger generation, and it is something I want to carry through to my future collaboration.”

Creativity, Nadia believes, is a result of continuous practice and self-care. “Creativity comes with practice; the more you pamper yourself, the more output you get,” she shares, offering insight into her creative process. This mindset has allowed her to evolve as an artist over time, gaining recognition and building a solid fan base. “There are many talent agencies out there. You just need to submit your profile, and the rest depends on your luck and talent,” she advises. “Keeo trying and contact nearby agencies to promote your work. A good start can be YouTube.”

As a female artist, Nadia is focused on one thing: talent. “Being a female is not a point; talent is what matters,” she asserts. “I believe that true artistry transcends gender, and it’s the strength of one’s craft that ultimately makes a difference.”

Looking ahead, Nadia is excited about her role in shaping Bahrain’s music scene. She’s set to perform alongside the legendary Panjabi MC and will also headline a three-day solo concert at La Rosa Hotel in Jufair this February. “I’m very happy to soon sign contracts with agencies in the UAE and the USA. Everything is in the pipeline,” she shares enthusiastically.

My music is a fusion of contemporary styles, and I love to use my platform to convey messages of empowerment and positivity.”
