This brand has grabbed the attention of fashion lovers all over the globe for two main reasons: its creative director and his concept of luxury for all. The best news is that now it can to be purchased online.

Karl Lagerfeld has announced the launch of its global women’s flagship store, Karl.com. The accessible luxe designs are available to shoppers in 97 countries, including Bahrain, to the delight of fashionistas worldwide.

January-2016_Pick_of_Month_01To celebrate the occasion, the brand has created a special capsule collection called, Karl Around the World. The items are inspired by the designer’s international travels and jet-set lifestyle. Using a palette of white, black and grey, accented by pops of navy blue and cherry red, the pieces are funky and practical. Ideal for long journeys, the styles embody a relaxed aesthetic in soft cotton fabrics styled in sweatshirts, T-shirts and sweatpants. Bespoke patterns and graphics are a trademark, such as cat cartoons inspired by the designer’s famous feline, Choupette. The pieces are also adorned with details like glitter, embroidery, appliqué patches, studs, sequins and high-density prints.

The accessories include a variety of handbags such as cross-body, weekender, duffle, minaudiere and zipped pouch styles. All are crafted in supple Safiano leather and finished with colourful patches influenced by Karl’s travels. Small accessories range from luggage tags, key chains and a passport holder to a travel diary, vanity case, sleeping mask and iPhone case. Beanie hats, a wool-blend blanket-scarf and black leather trainers topped with prints complement the capsule collection. The appliqué patches show off the designer’s worldly travels with playful caricatures of him and his cat.

The label also offers ready-to-wear for men, however this line is still not available at the online store. The company will further expand its portfolio in spring 2016 with the launch of a children’s wear collection.
