Our favourite celebrities are never out of the spotlight for long from galas to dinners and TV appearances. However, with the new year comes awards season which brings out the very best of the red carpet looks. We’ve chosen our favourites of the year so far.

Amber Heard
The star channelled old-style Hollywood glamour at the Golden Globes in a Gucci sienna and nude silk tulle multi-layered gown featuring silk flowers and delicate beading along the neck and down the open back. The piece featured a dramatic train and she topped it off with a red lip for a truly show-stealing look.

Jennifer Lopez
The actress and singer rocked a retro ’70s vibe in a gold sequined mesh jumpsuit from the Resort 2016 Michael Kors collection for an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live in Los Angeles. It’s an unforgiving look that screams total body confidence and displayed the 46-year-old’s toned arms and enviable physique to perfection.

Kristen Stewart
The ever-glum actress, who is brand ambassador for Chanel, wore the label top to toe at the National Board of Review Gala in New York. Sporting an off-white embellished organza dress from the Paris in Rome 2015/16 collection as well as Chanel shoes, watch and even make-up she showcased a coming trend for girly simplicity with smoky
eyes adding a slightly rock star edge.

Jennifer Lawrence
This girl is on fire right now and cannot put a foot wrong. She graced the red carpet at the Golden Globes in a stunning red Dior Haute Couture gown, with strategic cut-outs to reveal flashes of flesh adding a daring edge to the otherwise conservative cut. Topping off the look with more than 156 carats of Chopard diamonds, Lawrence, who went on to win the award for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for Joy, was really flexing her star power.

Rooney Mara
The Academy Award and Golden Globe winner showed how to do Gothic with style at the 27th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala wearing a Lanvin a black satin strapless cocktail dress with black lace bottom trim detail from the Été 2016 collection. Pared back hair and make-up allowed the frock’s detailing to do the talking.

Kacy Hill
The American singer/songwriter played to her gorgeous red hair in a Gucci Spring Summer 2016 iridescent green floral brocade, peak lapel, single-breasted suit with a blue and white cotton long- sleeve ruffle front blouse at the W Magazine & Dom Perignon 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards party. A brave choice but the quirky musician pulled it off.
