Liz_OReilly_Editorial_DirectorRamadan Kareem to one and all. As we were going to press the Holy Month was just days away and we in the Woman This Month team were gearing up for a period of short working days and long evenings spent with clients and friends reflecting on the spirituality of the season and catching up with people we may not have seen since last year, over delicious Iftar fare. If you’re heading out during Ramadan, check out our feature to discover great dining offers as well as ideas for gifts and giving your home that special festive feeling. We’ve also tackled the Holy Month in the fashion pages with tips on how to style a modest look in keeping with the season.

This time of year brings with it lots of special deals from the motoring world so we’ve taken a look at one of the most important considerations when buying a new car – its safety rating. Find out more in our special motoring feature.

We’re always happy to hear of efforts to promote women in the world of work, so I was pleased to catch up with the Bahrain British Business Forum ladies responsible for setting up the Women in Business special interest group. And our other interviewee this month is someone who might well join – Fehmina Poonawalla Alam, a young mum who couldn’t find the organic products she wanted to buy, so now makes them herself here in Bahrain!

If you’re as confused as us at the ever changing dietary advice about what’s good for us and what’s not, make sure to take a look at this month’s wellbeing section where Behnaz Sanjana busts some of the food myths (welcome back butter!). And, as always we have recipes for you to try and a review of the latest breakfast to hit the restaurant scene.

There’s also our usual round up of news from the worlds of fashion and beauty, advice and opinion and lots more besides.

Happy reading!
