There are plenty of websites with amusing Christmas activities to do with your little one. We selected a few of them to kick start those festive feelings.

It’s that time of the year again! Breathe in the scent of gingerbread cookies, decorate the Christmas tree, hang the stockings, listen to Christmas carols and embrace the whole magic that December 25th brings us. To put your child in the mood, enjoy some of the moments you have together to play online games such as tracking Santa’s activities, making fun videos, writing letters and a lot more. Just remember, some of the websites are only activated in December.

If you like creating fun videos and e-cards to send to the whole family, this is the website for you. You can add the face of your loved ones to working and dancing elves or reindeer and give the whole family a good laugh. There is a fee, but you can use it the whole year. Besides holiday themes they also have birthday, Thanksgiving, video music and more. Kids love to watch themselves and siblings dancing around in funny clothes, it is certainly very entertaining.

This is a Santa tracker. Every year during the month of December, NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) activates this website for games, videos and music. On Christmas Eve, they record Santa’s journey around the globe, the tracking system shows Santa visiting different countries and landmarks. It’s a special action from the military organisation to get little ones excited about Santa’s arrival in town.

Certainly a very different website to tune in, this page is a live feed of Santa’s reindeers. The kids can accompany the everyday life of the animals with regular appearances from Santa, when he comes to visit, feed his helpers and check his mail. There is also a scrolling ‘nice list’ that appears on the video to which you can add your child’s name. Real animals and snow to excite the little desert islanders.

A website to understand Christmas customs and the story, it also has a section with fun activities. The ‘Christmas around the world’ part is especially interesting, it shows a list of countries and when you select one of them, you learn how they celebrate Christmas according to their own traditions. Very good if your kid is doing research about the subject for a school project.
