Brow Effect
Big eyebrows are in at the moment, but even if you’re not naturally blessed, it’s easy to fake the look. Start with brushing the brow from the front to the tail so you know where it needs filling. Use an eye pencil closest to your natural hair colour to gently shade sparse spots. For a fresh and radiant look, rub a highlighter pencil on your fingertips and apply just below the eyebrow arch or to the inner corner of the eye – and voilà!
Shiny Locks
The secret to nailing the perfect hairdo is to prep your hair before styling and use the right product for your hair type. Use mousse to give volume and body and a tiny drop of shine serum for a healthy lustre. Wax is great for styling short hair and a spray will lock your style in place.
Base Control
To emulate Carrie’s flawless complexion you need to start with a clean canvas. The best way to do that is to use a primer as a base. It will help reduce the appearance of both pores and wrinkles, even out your skin and give it a smooth effect. Primer is best for oily skins as it creates a matt look. Dab a small amount in the centre of the face and work your way out, blending it up to your hairline and on the neck. Always use a moisturiser before priming and follow with foundation and translucent powder to set your make-up.
Rosy Pout
Carrie’s pink lips complement her dress and rosy cheeks perfectly. Pink is a versatile colour that almost anyone can wear. Whether it’s sheer light shades or more daring ones like hot fuchsia, you just have to find the right one for your skin tone. Lighter pinks will make your lips look fuller and darker hues will make your pout smaller. Brighten your look with cool tones and add warmth to your face with electric pink.
Perfect Glow
Highlighter on Carrie’s nose and cheeks makes her skin glow from within. To give your face some definition, apply the highlighter diagonally across your cheekbone from underneath the centre of your eye socket up towards your hairline. Dabbing a little on your cupid’s bow will give your lipstick a clean look. Or simply mix a liquid highlighter with your moisturiser for an overall luminous glow.
