Lancôme chooses first hijabi ambassador.
Actress, TV host and entrepreneur Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor made history when she was appointed as French cosmetics and fragrance brand Lancôme’s first ambassador for Malaysia, recently. She is also the international company’s first hijab wearing ambassador. In 2015, she was Lancôme’s spokesperson for its women’s fragrance line La Nuit Tresor and she also represents the Austrian jewellery brand Swarovski.

Chelsea Ladies FC striker and England Centurion Eniola Aluko has become a global ambassador for beauty brand Sally Hansen featuring in the company’s campaign, Self-Made Beauty. A serious of Youtube films shows ambassadors in “Shetopia” an imaginary world where stereotypical gender roles are reversed and women take the traditional power roles that men do. The campaign features several high-profile chief executives and advocates including Claire Wasserman, founder of the organisation Ladies Get Paid, Jessica Haggett, founder of an all-female motorcycle group, and Aluko whose message is: “In my Shetopia girls and boys play together.”
