An Event-full Kingdom

Alison ColdrigeThis month’s issue is inclusive of so many great and varied topics that I am spoilt for choice as to what I should highlight in this letter.

First, let me explain our pick for the Campaign article. Whilst last month we worked as a nation to raise awareness for breast cancer, this month it’s time to focus on the men in our lives. November is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month and we’ve looked at the most popular — and hilarious — hair-raising way that guys can raise money for the cause.

Also in this issue, our coverage of the new season’s trends has continued with a look at what make-up you should be wearing now, and how you should be wearing it in the 20 Tips article.

For our Wellbeing feature, I put on a brave face and scouted the island for three alternative therapies available in Bahrain. Surprisingly, I actually enjoyed all three and would thoroughly recommend them to anyone bored of the same old massage.

Plus, we’ve considered the fast-approaching festive season and interviewed two ladies who are able to make any event you have planned a roaring success. Check out the People section to see which two business-minded women made the cut.

Finally, if you are currently experiencing island fever — as so many of us do — then use November’s holidays to escape to a faraway land. We’ve unearthed some secluded destinations in the Travel article.

Whatever this month brings for you, I advise you to enjoy the peace before the madness of the festive season which sets in soon! In fact, why not lock yourself in for an evening with a copy of Woman This Month. Perfection.
