Over the years, races around the world have become synonymous with glitzy parties and stunning destinations, making them hotspots for the crème de la crème of society. With such high-flying allure, why limit your race experience to the small screen?

WTM brings you three glamorous race destinations to consider for a pit stop this summer.

Daytona
Daytona International Speedway, Florida: The warmth of a beachside paradise coupled with adrenaline thrills make this track an auto racing mecca. Since opening in 1959, it has regularly hosted the most prestigious NASCAR race – the Daytona 500. With multiple road layouts, the track is also home to races of USCC and Motocross throughout the year.

Beyond the track, Daytona Beach is known for its nightlife, beachside restaurants, water sports, and cultural attractions such as the Museum of Arts and Sciences. Florida has a year-round love affair with the sun, which makes it a charming destination for those in need of an escape from bitter winds.

Goodwood
Goodwood Festival of Speed, England: The festival is an annual hill climb featuring motor racing cars and motorbikes at Goodwood House, culminating in the best of the past and present of motorsport. Located on the vast expanses of lush English countryside of West Sussex, the motor show has a distinctive theme it embraces each year, with this year being ‘Full Throttle – the Endless Pursuit of Power’. The event, which is to be run over June 23-26 this year, fosters a minimum of red tape so you can rub shoulders with famous faces of the motoring world while experiencing speed thrills of the best kind.

After getting a good look at the supercars, bikes, and classic autos, experience the old-town charm of West Sussex with a stroll through the streets of nearby Chichester, or the fairytale-like Arundel Castle. The county also offers amusement parks, aquariums, and science centres.

Monaco
Monte Carlo, Monaco: One of the most prestigious yet challenging races in the F1 calendar, the one-of-a-kind circuit meanders through the streets of Monaco. From Casino Square through the tunnel and past the luxurious yachts, hedonism is revered, and celebrities are aplenty as Monte Carlo is considered a timeless playground of the see-and-be-seen crowd.
